High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes on US 101, in Santa Barbara County California (Segments 4A, 4B and 4C)

The Project is located in the County of Santa Barbara on US 101 Segments 4A, 4B and 4C and will construct new northbound and southbound
extensions of existing High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes on US 101. Additional construction includes:
•sound walls, creek crossing improvements, and rebuilding interchanges at Sheffield Drive and Cabrillo Boulevard.
Estimated to generate 5,000 –6,000 new jobs
•Create $1.3 billion in savings to the public, commuters, and the freight industry
•$163.9 million in travel time savings over the next 20 years for travels on US 101
•$833 million in vehicle operational costs savings for passenger & freight vehicles over 20 years
