Sounder Access Improvements (Sound Transit)
Sound Transit will make improvements at three stations. The Sounder Access Improvements will be completed through a RRIF loan for $154.2 million (49 percent of total $314.6 million cost), which will:
o Improve access for hundreds more people at three stations
o Construct new sidewalks and improve street lighting
o Expand insufficient parking for users without the ability to walk or bike to a station
Construction of 5-level, 511 space parking, expansion of surface lot from 68 to 166 spaces
Construction of sidewalks, ramps, street lighting etc.
Auburn Station
Construction of 6-level, 675 space parking, replacing 140 surface parking spaces
Construction of pedestrian, bicycle and transit amenities
Sumner Station
Construction of 4-level, 630 space parking, replacing ~130 surface parking spaces
Construction of sidewalk and lighting improvements
