Frontier Airlines Order 2026-4-11

The U.S. Department of Transportation (Department) has issued an amended order modifying the civil penalty provisions from its January 2025 order against Frontier Airlines for chronic flight delays. Under the new terms, Frontier receives a $162,500 credit toward its penalty in recognition of compensation to affected travelers and for investments in technologies that improve the passenger experience during flight disruptions. The Department’s modified order ensured that a portion of the civil penalty was funneled directly back to travelers impacted by service failures while incentivizing the airline to continue improving its service.
