DOT’s 55,000 employees are trained to recognize and report human trafficking every two years. The Department's multimodal training for transportation employees and the traveling public was developed in coordination with lived experience experts, partners, and transportation stakeholders. The Blue Lightning Initiative (BLI) training for aviation industry personnel has been delivered to over 350,000 aviation employees.
