Preparing Your Spatial Data File

This document provides instructions on how to prepare the required spatial data file for a Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) application.

Applicants must submit spatial data that shows the location of the jurisdiction and highlights the roadway network under the applicant’s jurisdiction, as well as any project locations described in the application. Applicants requesting funding for demonstration activities should include the locations of any proposed demonstration pilots if known. 

Applicants may submit spatial data in the form of a ZIP file containing all files that make up a shapefile or any other spatial format file OR in the form of a KML file.
