In fiscal year (FY) 2025, 521 local, regional, and Tribal communities received over $982 million in Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant awards.
These awards include 454 Planning and Demonstration Grant awards totaling $295,723,850 and 67 Implementation Grant awards totaling $686,508,148 million, shown in the map below.

- The Implementation Grant awards provide significant safety benefits to all people who use our roadways:
- The roadways and areas that received funding to implement projects had around 1,000 lives lost and over 7,000 serious injuries over the past 5 years.
- 48 projects involve EMS and whole blood projects to improve post-crash care.
- 50 percent of awards will benefit rural communities.
- Over $340 million in funding benefits communities in rural and Tribal areas.
