SUBJECT:  Electronic Fare Media (EFM) Support Team

BACKGROUND:  This bulletin provides information to TRANServe Agency Points of Contact (POCs) on the development of the Electronic Fare Media (EFM) Support Team.

INFORMATION:  The TRANServe Debit Card is now being used to distribute the transit benefit to federal employees in several geographic service areas. We recognize the need to provide additional assistance during this transition to electronic fare media.

TRANServe has established an EFM Support Team to answer general questions regarding WMATA SmartBenefits® and Debit Card activation, eligibility, usage and transactions.

For all specific transit benefit program questions and concerns, continue to contact your existing Transit Benefit Manager.

ACTION:

  1. Program Points of Contact can access the EFM Support Team by email at EFMSupport@dot.gov and by phone at 202-366-9244.
  2. EFM inquires that require a change to a participant’s funding or applicant information please contact the agency Transit Benefit Manager directly.
