SUBJECT: MTA Discontinues SmartBenefits® Vouchers
BACKGROUND:
The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) has notified its customers that November 21, 2011 is the last day that MTA Transit Stores will accept the WMATA SmartBenefits® vouchers for MTA Commuter Bus Ticket payment. Orders MUST be received in the MTA Transit store office by November 21st in order to process a December ticket purchase. Mail orders using SmartBenefits® vouchers as payment will not be accepted after November 21st.
November 18, 2011 is the final day the U.S. Department of Transportation, TRANServe will issue the SmartBenefits® Vouchers.
INFORMATION:
Transit benefit program participants who ride an MTA Commuter Bus must contact their Agency Transit Benefit Coordinator immediately and enroll in the TRANServe Debit Card Program to receive the January 2011 benefit.
