The Maritime Administration (MARAD) is seeking services for the exclusive, long-term safe layberthing of three (3) CAPE S-class Ready Reserve Force (RRF) vessels: CAPE SABLE, CAPE SAN JUAN, and CAPE STARR, at a site on the U.S. East, Gulf, or West Coast. While these layberths are intended for the specified vessels, the Government reserves the right to substitute vessels of similar or smaller size.
The Training Vessel Elizabeth Anne (tugboat) and Training Vessel 210 (training barge) are scheduled for out-of-water maintenance in FY25. This maintenance will include, but is not limited to, underwater hull cleaning, zinc replacement, painting, steel repairs, and the replacement of worn parts and equipment. Given their heavy year-round usage, it is critical to keep both vessels in optimal operational condition.
