Description

The purpose of this contract is to provide Phase II of the project to enhance the model by focusing on the effects of changing wheel lateral position and how this relates to changing contact patch position when moving along track, while utilizing the wheel-rail profiles. The model will be incorporated into a vehicle-track interaction software. Ultimately, this modeling tool will be able to provide the impact of TOR material on vehicle dynamics, wear, and rolling contact fatigue.
