Description

Healthcare professionals (medical, dental, behavioral and emergency medical services) and administrative support staff will provide non-emergency and emergency onsite healthcare services for Midshipmen at USMMA. The Code of Federal Regulations, 46 CFR 310.62 requires Midshipmen at the USMMA to receive limited medical and dental care. For the purposes of this statement of work (SOW), limited medical and dental care is defined as healthcare provided using any appropriate contractor healthcare personnel, equipment and supplies that can be reasonably made available on site at the USMMA Office of Health Services (hereby referred to as OHS) for the intention of providing wellness care as well as healthcare support necessary for matriculation academically, inclusive of meeting US Coast guard and US Navy medical standards for graduation. This mission supports 46 C.F.R. §310.56, which dictates the continuing requirement for USMMA midshipmen to meet the standards set forth in Department of Defense Instruction 6130.03, Medical Standards for Appointment, Enlistment, or Induction in the Military Services.
