Description

FMVSS No. 106 establishes minimum performance requirements for brake hose assemblies, fittings, and hose for use in motor vehicles.  The purpose of FMVSS No. 106 is to reduce deaths and injuries occurring as a result of brake system failure from pressure or vacuum loss due to hose or hose assembly failure. The requirements for compliance testing of brake hoses include testing such components to the load test requirements of FMVSS No. 106 as specified in TP-106-04. 

The purpose of this contract is to acquire services associated with the acquisition, inspection, compliance testing, and compliance test reporting of brake hoses, brake hose assemblies, and brake hose end fittings to assist the Government in its enforcement efforts for FMVSS No. 106.
