Description

The Dome Visual System supports flight deck human factors research concerning advanced displays, aircraft controls, communication procedures, pilot capabilities, and training requirements. The Flight Deck team conducts research activities in response to requirements generated through the AVS Research, Engineering, and Development requirement processes. The research accomplished assists operational units within the agency with the ability to answer human factors questions necessary to support or enhance certification, development, administrative, or operational decisions.

The department purchased two new simulators in 2021, therefore the Dome Visual System will be a shared asset across these and potentially other flight simulators.
