Acting Associate Chief Information Officer for Enterprise Technology & Architecture Standards
Sakkaf Alam is Acting Associate Chief Information Officer (ACIO) of Enterprise Technology & Architecture Standards at the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).
Sakkaf leads efforts to unify enterprise technology and architecture standards across DOT, and oversees the Architecture Strategy & Governance, Digital Experience, Platform Strategy & Engineering, and Quality divisions. He guides the Department’s efforts to modernize infrastructure, improve the user experience, and deliver scalable, robust platforms.
Before joining the federal workforce, Sakkaf spent over 15 years in the private sector, specializing in high-performance systems and technology-driven innovation at firms including J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley. In 2017, he joined the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, leading initiatives to streamline federal policy and governance through strategic automation, before moving to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, becoming its Director of IT Services, Enterprise Architecture, and Emerging Technologies.
