Spotlight on Innovative Technology and Automation Deployment in Work Zones

In honor of National Work Zone Awareness Week, this webinar spotlighted three transportation organizations deploying innovative technology or automation in their work zone operations to increase the safety of their workers. The Iowa Department of Transportation, North Carolina Department of Transportation, and Washington State Department of Transportation shared recent efforts in innovation in the work zone operation and covered topics ranging from development of a special provision specification for work zone monitoring, to smart detection and alerting technology, to work zone data exchange.
