CTM-295 CrossingThe M-295 includes the entire East River (from New York Harbor where it connects to the M-87) and Long Island Sound up to and including Block Island Sound. The Crossing includes operating ferry systems that connect Connecticut to New York and provides a substantial shortcut for people that need to cross the Long Island Sound. There are two existing ferry systems that create substantial improvements to the overall capacity of the national freight transportation system as a possible alternative to ground transportation in the movement of people.Crossing
