The World Safety Organization, Inc. (WSO) Certification
The World Safety Organization, Inc. (WSO) established four certification categories for the rail and bus transportation industry: Certified Safety Specialist, Certified Safety and Security Director, Certified Safety Manager, and Certified Safety Executive. Certification is an important step in determining a basic level of competence that is measurable by and meaningful to both management and peers within the industry. This initiative recognizes the expertise of rail and bus transportation safety and security professionals. Several of TSI’s courses can be applied towards the course requirements for certification. Qualifications and criteria for WSO Certification are as follows:

NOTE:
Individuals who have earned TSI’s Transit Safety and Security Program Certificate have met the course requirements for WSO Certification. To obtain WSO certification, applications for membership and certification must be submitted according to WSO Membership and Certification policy.
