Since its establishment in 1971, Transportation Safety Institute (TSI) has assisted the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) modal administrations and other leading transportation agencies and entities in fulfilling their mission-essential training requirements. For more than 45years TSI has provided high-quality safety, security and environmental training to over 850,000 federal, state, and local governmental, private sector, and foreign transportation professionals in the areas of aviation, highway traffic, transit, motor carriers, and hazardous materials.

TSI is committed to providing economical, yet innovative, training methods and services. Our instructors -- recognized subject matter experts with up-to-date field expertise – are capable of providing the most current and cross-cutting transportation safety instruction available. We are a full-service organization with staff experts in information technology, curriculum development, facilities management, financial oversight, purchasing, contracts management and human resources, providing the organizational support you need to meet your unique training mission.

TSI knows that one size does not always fit all, so we stand ready to meet the specific needs of training managers and students across the transportation sector. Our four training teams, each with deep subject area expertise in safety and security topics, create new content as transportation safety practices, rules, regulations and policies evolve.
