Aviation Safety Professional Certificate

The Transportation Safety Institute administers the Aviation Safety Professional Certificate Program.  TSI offers four aviation safety professional certificate designations:  Aviation Safety Officer (ASO), Advanced Aviation Safety Officer, Aviation Safety Investigator (ASI), and Advanced Aviation Safety Investigator. 

Aviation Safety Investigator (ASI) Requirements:

  1. Basic Aircraft Accident Investigation
  2. Advanced Aircraft Accident Investigation
  3. Human Factors in Aircraft Accident Investigation
  4. Commercial Aircraft Accident Investigation OR General Aviation Aircraft Accident Investigation

*The advanced certificate consists of acquiring the basic certificate plus any other two TSI courses.

Aviation Safety Officer (ASO) Requirements:

  1. Internal Evaluation Program
  2. Safety Management Systems
  3. Basic Aircraft Accident Investigation
  4. Human Factors in Aircraft Accident Investigation

*The advanced certificate consists of acquiring the basic certificate plus any other two TSI courses.
