The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (GLS) has a requirement for blasting, painting, and mechanical refurbishment of eight stop logs at Snell Lock in Massena, NY.  GLS has steel structures called stoplogs that are stacked to create a dam structure that allows the lock to be dewatered for winter work or in case of emergency. The stoplogs resemble truss bridges laid on their side that are stacked on top of each other to form the dam. The stoplogs’ overall dimensions are approximately 86’ long, 9’-2” wide with a height that varies between 3’-6” and 5’- 10”.
