Description

The resultant Contractor shall be assigned to provide day-to-day procurement support to the Office of Acquisition Management (OAM). OAM has the responsibility supporting NHTSA’s mission by providing “Cradle to Grave” contracting services to fulfill the programmatic and administrative needs of the agency. OAM performs contracting activities in compliance with applicable regulations such as: Federal Acquisition Regulation, Transportation Acquisition Regulation, laws, statutes, and policies while meeting the agency goals in accordance with best practices and socioeconomic reporting objectives. OAM must ensure that all contract dollars spent are properly recorded into the Departmental Accounting and Financial Information System (DELPHI) financial management/accounting system for recording of all financial obligations in USASpending.gov and/or reporting back to Congress for any specific usage of appropriated funding utilized by NHTSA with a particular contractor/grantee upon notification and authorization. In order to comply with DOT acquisition/financial management policy and programs requiring extremely detailed tracking of how federal money is spent in communities across America and beyond and review of numerous compliance systems, OAM contracts for additional acquisition support services.
