DOT Biz Journal: OSDBU Hosts Small Business Day Focusing on Putting America Back to Work

OSDBU is pleased to make the Sprinng 2012 edition of the DOT Biz Journal available for download. In this issue we look back at the Small Business Day hosted by the OSDBU this past November. This event, attended by over 300 small business professionals, included remarks from Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, OSDBU Director Brandon Neal, Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, and George Pierson, CEO of Parsons Brinckerhoff. Attendees learned how to connect small businesses and qualified professionals with job opportunities on the federal, state, and local level, as well as educating small business owners on the resources available to help their business grow.

Other articles include a review of proposed changes to the small business size standards for several industry categories by the Small Business Administration, a notice of the addition of banks to the OSDBU Short Term Lending program (STLP) and our regular Follow the Money and Calendar of Events features.
