DOT Order 1011.B, Procedures for Processing Reasonable Accommodation Requests from Job Applicant and DOT Employees with Disabilities, describes the roles and responsibilities of those involved in the reasonable accommodation process at the Department of Transportation (DOT or the Department). In addition to outlining the steps for requesting and processing a reasonable accommodation, the Order supports DOT supervisors, decision makers, and employees with disabilities in conducting open and productive conversations throughout the reasonable accommodation process. The Order also identifies the resources available within the Department to assist with providing reasonable accommodations
