Updated ANSI D.16 Manual on Classification of Motor Vehicle Traffic Crashes Released

Having assumed custodianship of ANSI D.16, the Manual on Classification of Motor Vehicle Traffic Crashes, the Association of Traffic Safety Information Professionals (ATSIP) has released the 8th edition of the standard. D.16's primary purpose is to promote uniformity and comparability of motor vehicle traffic crash statistics being developed in Federal, State, and local jurisdictions. It is hoped that this refresh will bring make the standard more relevant and useful as technologies and environments continue to impact the collection, management, and analysis of crash data.
