Participating Effectively in Mediation: A Guide for DOT Managers in EEO Cases
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) policy is to use Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods to resolve disputes at the lowest level possible. The use of ADR helps to resolve disputes in an expeditious and cost-effective manner. ADR processes include, but are not limited to: negotiation, facilitation, conciliation, mediation, early neutral evaluation, fact fi nding, mini-trials, and arbitration.
