Scientific Integrity Policy

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research (OST-R) is pleased to announce the Department of Transportation (DOT) Scientific Integrity Policy. The new DOT policy is part of a government-wide initiative led by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. In January 2023, the National Science and Technology Council Subcommittee on Scientific Integrity established a Framework for assessment and iterative improvement of Federal Scientific Integrity policies and practices, to which DOT is adhering.

With this policy in place, DOT is now developing guidance for implementation. Please contact scientificintegrity@dot.gov to report allegations of loss of scientific integrity at DOT.
