The Contractor shall furnish the necessary qualified personnel, facilities, materials, supplies, equipment, and services to perform work associated with the acquisition, inspection, compliance testing, and test reporting of tires in accordance with the applicable requirements of FMVSS No. 109 New pneumatic and certain specialty tires, FMVSS No. 119 New pneumatic tires for motor vehicles with a GVWR of more than 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds) and motorcycles, and FMVSS No. 139 New pneumatic radial tires for light vehicles.
Since the 2011 NCRUSS, updated and new literature, research, and standards related to child restraint systems and use of child restraint systems have occurred. NHTSA plans to reconduct the NCRUSS to examine the current state of use of car seats and booster seats for child passengers from birth through 12 years old, and the perceptions of drivers about child restraint systems.
The aim of this contract is to update the Countermeasures That Work guide as appropriate and necessary. If significant research has been conducted on a particular program area since the last publication, and the research has provided new findings, then the relevant subject pages in the Countermeasures That Work guide will be updated and revised.

Requirement for comprehensive Facilities Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Related Services under a performance-based contract. This requirement encompasses a broad scope of facility support services including—but not limited to—facility operations and maintenance, janitorial services, security operations, mail and loading dock services, and grounds maintenance. The project PR ER DOT PRMNT RPR(24) consists of landslide repairs resulting from Hurricanes Irma and Maria in the municipalities of Caguas and Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The project includes repairs at multiple sites along PR-1 KM 44, PR-173 31.6, and PR-796 KM 4.2. This project will repair multiple landslides caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in the municipalities of Caguas and Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)'s New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) program has published comparative safety information on new vehicle models since 1979. Interest in vulnerable road user safety has grown in part due to the large numbers of pedestrians struck and killed. In 2022, 7,522 pedestrians were fatally injured. To mitigate injuries and fatalities, NHTSA will perform a series of crashworthiness impact tests designed to evaluate how injurious a given vehicle’s front end may be if a pedestrian is struck.
After the completion of the State Laws digest on illegal passing, a more in-depth review or state of knowledge report is needed to determine if a model law for illegal passing would help with the consistency of enforcement of these driving violations. More clarity if needed on how currently laws are enforced to help better inform States to improve enforcement of these laws. The state laws digest informed that laws vary in content, organization, consistency, and clarity. Also, that what may constitute illegal behavior in one jurisdiction may not be prohibited in a neighboring one.
