Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) Machines
CPAP machines help people breathe more easily during sleep. They increase air pressure in the throat, so the airway does not collapse when breathing in. Most CPAP machines are small, lightweight, and come standard with a carrying case.
The basic components for a CPAP machine are the Flow Generator, Air Pressure Hose, and Interface
Flow Generator - Provides the airflow going through the hose

Air Pressure Hose – Connects the flow generator (sometimes via an in-line humidifier) to the interface (or mask)

Interface – Provides the connection to the user’s airway. There are several types of masks including:
- Nasal
- Full face mask
- Nasal pillows
- Lip-seal mouthpiece
