Notification of Arrival: Addition of Charterer to Required Information

Final rule.

The Coast Guard amends its advance notification requirements in the Notification of Arrival regulations for vessels bound for ports or places in the United States. In addition to the information already required by these regulations, this rule will require the owner, master, operator, agent, or person in charge of the vessel to identify the charterer of their vessel. The addition of the charterer information will allow us to better identify charterers associated with substandard vessels.
