This document proposes to amend the regulation on Confidential Business Information. This proposal is designed primarily to simplify and improve the clarity of the regulation and to update specific sections to reflect current case law and legislative action. The proposal is intended to ensure the efficient processing of requests for confidential treatment and the proper protection for sensitive business information received by NHTSA.
