Devin Ure
Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget and Programs
Devin Ure serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget and Programs at the U.S. Department of Transportation. In this role, he directs the Department’s budget formulation and execution, overseeing a total budget authority and contract authority exceeding $140 billion. He also serves as DOT’s Evaluation Officer and is responsible for agency-wide performance, evaluation, and risk management.
A career public servant, Devin previously served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Office of the Secretary (OST), where he managed an annual budget of over $5 billion. His prior experience includes leading the Volpe Transportation Center’s $400 million Working Capital Fund and serving as a budget analyst for both the DOT and the Department of Labor. Devin holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, a B.S. from Utah Valley University, and is a Certified Government Financial Manager.
