Chrishaun Jones
Senior Procurement Executive
In September 2024, Chrishaun Jones officially assumed the responsibilities of Senior Procurement Executive for the United States Department of Transportation (DOT). She is responsible for implementing the full range of procurement policies, regulations, and standards applicable to DOT as well as managing procuring procurement systems and programs.
Before this assignment, Chrishaun was the Deputy Director for Acquisition and Contracting at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). She was responsible for directing the development, coordination, facilitation, management and planning of the annual acquisition of goods and services that exceeded $5B. Chrishaun chaired the FAA Acquisition Strategy Review Board for services contracts that exceeded $10 million. Throughout Chrishaun’s career, she demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to advancing the procurement profession to greater heights. She spearheaded efforts to enhance the safety of the National Airspace System (NAS) by securing multiple agreements with industry leaders. She is passionate about preserving and developing the Department’s acquisition workforce and continuously seeks ways to improve overall success, capabilities, and credibility.
Chrishaun has served in various leadership positions within Lockheed Martin Corporation where she managed government and commercial contracts spanning multiple years. Notably, she executed the first Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76 contract awarded by the FAA. She supported several Federal Agencies, such as Health and Human Services, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and the Air Force. She also managed the contracting and procurement process from the U.S. Export-Import Bank and other multilateral agencies, closing a $47.6M Albanian Air Traffic Modernization project.
Chrishaun holds a bachelor’s degree from Morgan State University and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. She is also a graduate of the Federal Executive Institutes Leadership for a Democratic Society. She maintains a paralegal certificate from Georgetown University and the National Contract Management Association, where she is certified as a federal contracts manager and professional contract manager.
In her free time, she loves to travel, read, exercise, spend time with family and friends, and design floral arrangements for celebratory events.
