Audit Relations and Program Improvement
Overview
The Office of Audit Relations and Program Improvement (ARPI) is the Departmental point of contact for all Office of Inspector General (OIG) and U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) audits. We provide an array of cross-cutting leadership and audit services for modal and Secretarial offices to include the following:
- consulting with DOT senior executives and managers on significant audit issues,
- negotiating alternative audit actions and strategies with OIG/GAO,
- overseeing the response and comment process to OIG/GAO audit reports, and
- spearheading actions to resolve and implement OIG/GAO audit recommendations.
