Worker’s Compensation Information System (WCIS)

The Department of Transportation (DOT) uses the Workers’ Compensation Information System (WCIS) to manage the Department's workers’ compensation program. It allows authorized personnel to manage and monitor workers’ compensation claims data cases. Data in the WCIS is provided by the United States Department of Labor (DOL) under the Federal Employee Compensation Act (FECA). The DOT Office of Human Resource Management manages WCIS. This Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) is being updated in accordance with the E-Government Act of 2002 to address potential privacy risks regarding the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of federal employees and members of the public who receive benefits from WCIS.

DOT is committed to ensuring that information is available in appropriate alternative formats to meet the requirements of persons who have a disability. If you require an alternative version of files provided on this page, please contact privacy@dot.gov.
