Enforcement Information System (EIS) & EIS Query and Browse Database (EISQB)

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) developed the Enforcement Information System (EIS) and the EIS Query and Browse Database (EISQB). The EIS application tracks FAA’s investigations of statutory or regulatory violations of aviation safety matters nationwide, as well as information about enforcement actions or orders issued. EISBQ is an internal, web-based query and browsing tool that provides Aviation Safety Inspectors (ASIs), Office of Aviation Safety (AVS) and other authorized FAA users read-only access to EIS information. The FAA previously published the Enforcement Information System (EIS) Modernization Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) in accordance with the E-Government Act of 2002 because the FAA collects personally identifiable information (PII) from an alleged violator that includes: name, address, telephone number, airmen certification number (if applicable), date of birth, sex, and other PII. FAA updated the EIS & EISQB PIA to include information related to an update of a system of records notice, new data exchanges, and other administrative items.
