The Transportation and Emergency Checklist is intended to provide practical guidance to transportation providers and their partner organizations in planning for the transport of persons requiring mobility assistance in the event of an emergency.

The checklist was designed to be used as a tool during the planning process—prior to an emergency situation—to ensure safe and appropriate transportation for transportation-dependent populations, including older adults, persons living in group situations, persons with disabilities (including persons with physical, visual, hearing, intellectual, psychiatric, learning, and cognitive disabilities), and individuals without access to personal transportation.

This document was developed in conjunction with the National Consortium on the Coordination of Human Service Transportation.
