Reconnecting Communities FY23 Awards

On March 13th, 2024, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg announced  $3.3 billion in grant awards for 132 communities through the Reconnecting Communities & Neighborhoods Grant Program. These awards include 52 Capital Construction Grants, 8 Regional Partnerships Challenge Grants and 71 Planning Grants. DOT has already notified Reconnecting Communities & Neighborhoods Program FY23 applicants of their application status.

  • Successful applicants will receive an email with official grant award details notifying them of next steps.
  • Expressions of interest in RCN FY23 greatly outpaced the level of available funding.  You can download a list of unsuccessful RCN FY23 applicants here.
