What is the National Advisory Committee on Travel and Tourism Infrastructure?

The National Advisory Committee on Travel and Tourism Infrastructure, or NACTTI, is a newly created committee established in accordance with Section 1431 of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act) (P.L. 114-94; Dec. 4, 2015; 129 Stat. 1312).  NACTTI’s role is to provide information, advice, and recommendations to the Secretary of Transportation on matters relating to the role of intermodal transportation in facilitating mobility with respect to travel and tourism activities. 

What is the current status of the NACTTI?

NACTTI was established on June 1, 2016. 

How does one apply to serve on the NACTTI?

On June 30, 2016, a Notice was published in the Federal Register indicating procedures for nomination for NACTTI membership.  The notice can be viewed at https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2016/06/30/2016-15285/requests-for-nominations-national-advisory-committee-on-travel-and-tourism-infrastructureThe nomination period has closed.  Please check back for more information.
