USDOT Achieves “A” Grade from SBA for FY23

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) is delighted to share that for the 15th consecutive year, the Department has once again received an “A” grade from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) on its Small Business Procurement Scorecard for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023. In FY 2023, the Department awarded a record total of over 2.2 billion dollars to small disadvantaged businesses through prime and subcontracting opportunities. 

This is an honor and well-deserved accolade for both the Department and the work OSDBU does to assist a diverse base of small businesses to grow and develop their core competencies. A big shout out to the work OSDBU and Operating Administrations continue to do in prioritization of our small business community and the Department’s goals!

The upcoming requirement will be for a vendor to provide all labor, material, tools, and equipment to repair 0.25 mile of trolley track from the Suffolk to Wye and replace 49 new steel poles from the Suffolk to Wye and Wye to Swamp Locks at the Lowell National Historical Park in Lowell, MA.  A pre-solicitation notice will be issued with the announcement of an Industry Day site visit planned for first week of April 2024.
