The purpose of this requirement is to procure crash analysis expertise to supplement the Volpe Center’s Safety Measurement and Analysis Division’s support to operation of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)’s Crash Preventability Determination Program (CPDP) and support expanded program operations. Activities include: reviewing crashes for program eligibility and preventability based on program standards, engaging with the Volpe Center to identify areas for continuous improvement, and attending team meetings and training events.
The Complementary Positioning, Navigation and Timing project has the need for 10 High Performance Cesium Primary Reference Sources, Part Number 5071A, for its various testing activities.
The Volpe Center will be seeking a Performance Based Acquisition for Systems Engineering services to support multiple Volpe Center program needs. The Contractor shall provide resources, including skilled personnel, with capabilities and experience relating to existing technologies and methodologies that address current transportation systems issues as well as cutting edge technologies and methodologies that show promise in transforming the future of the transportation systems enterprise, including systems/analytics and cloud computing systems technology.
The Volpe Center's objective is to obtain engineering services to support the optimization of the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) and the Digital Airport Surveillance Radar (DASR) to maximize the probability of detection of aircraft while managing false targets and other anomalous propagation (AP).
