The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Actions to Address the NTSB’s Most Wanted List

A Report to Congress and the National Transportation Safety Board: January 2022 Report

Since 1990, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB or Board) has published the Most Wanted List, which represents the NTSB’s advocacy priorities. The Department is required to report on the regulatory status of each recommendation on the Board’s Most Wanted List pursuant to section 1135(e)(1) of Title 49, United States Code (U.S.C.). This report describes the activities that DOT is undertaking to enhance the safety of the Nation’s transportation network for each of the NTSB’s 2021-22 Most Wanted List and fulfills the reporting requirement.

DOT is committed to ensuring that information is available in appropriate alternative formats to meet the requirements of persons who have a disability. If you require an alternative version of files provided on this page, please contact safety2@dot.gov.
