Reconnecting Communities FY22 Awards
On Feb. 28th, 2023, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg announced $185 million in grant awards for 45 communities through the first round of funding for the Reconnecting Communities Pilot Grant Program. These awards include 6 Capital Construction Grants and 39 Planning Grants. You may review information about awardees in program factsheets, in the map below, and in an Excel spreadsheet format.
Expressions of interest in RCP FY22 greatly outpaced the level of available funding. You can download a list of unsuccessful RCP FY22 applicants here. Unsuccessful applicants will receive an email with instructions for how to request a debrief.
Map Data
Note: Because the FY22 application cycle did not require GIS data as part of the submission package, the jurisdictional boundaries shown on this map are approximate.
Much of the information was provided by applicants, though in cases where it was not, the USDOT team made a best effort to gather the appropriate data from publicly available sources.
