Child Passenger Safety Week – Sept. 18-24 – highlights the importance of buckling kids up, and National Seat Check Saturday helps parents make sure they are used correctly


 

WASHINGTON – As Child Passenger Safety Week (Sept. 18-24) kicks off, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA) is urging the public to make sure children are properly buckled up in the correct car seat for their size and age.

FMCSA Extends Deadline for “Be Ready. Be Buckled.” Student Art Contest to March 15.  The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) today announced that it is extending the deadline for submissions for the 2014 “Be Ready. Be Buckled.” student art contest until March 15, 2014.  Organized by the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Belt Partnership, the contest is open to students in kindergarten through sixth grade with relatives or sponsors in the commercial truck and bus industries.

FMCSA Launches Annual “Be Ready. Be Buckled." Safety Belt Art Contest for Kids

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) today announced the launch of the 2014 “Be Ready.  Be Buckled.” student art contest organized by the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Belt Partnership.  Open to students in kindergarten through sixth grade with relatives or sponsors in the commercial truck and bus industries, the contest educates kids about highway safety and urges commercial drivers to buckle up on every trip.
