U.S. Department of Transportation Organization Manual Federal Highway Administration (DOT 1100.63C)
Effective Date: 3-05-2018
The FHWA is restructuring the Office of Infrastructure (HIF) to better align functions in support of delivery of the Federal-aid highway program and the Secretary's priorities to modernize the Nation's highways and bridges. The functional realignment and streamlining will improve HIF operations and efficiencies, and better position FHWA to improve the performance of the $44 billion Federal-aid highway program while reducing the number of SES allocations in HIF from five to four. The Departmental Offices of General Counsel and the Chief Financial Officer confirmed the realignment of these functions does not require reprogramming or Congressional notification. The FHWA has coordinated the proposed realignment with the Departmental Office of Human Resource Management and other appropriate offices in the Office of the Secretary.
