Brian serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary to the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology (OST-R). Before joining USDOT, he served as a Professional Staff Member for the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, focusing on congressional oversight and nominee vetting. His background also includes political strategy research at Axiom Strategies and an internship with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Brian holds a Master of Public Policy from American University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland.
