Secretary's bus tour stops in Alabama

Sweet Home Alabama!

We made three stops in Alabama today – Anniston where we missed Jennifer but found the NABI bus plant where they build electric & CNG buses for transit systems all over America.  Next, Birmingham, where we saw a new intermodal facility just beginning construction.  Finally, we hit Demopolis, a small town with a big vision for transportating manufactured & agricultural products by ship, rail & trucks.  Located in the poorest region of Alabama, it felt good to dialogue with folks & let them know that our transportation vision includes them, too.
