Sponsor

A sponsor is a company, agency, organization or person who helps to incentivize the Data Innovation Challenge by offering some form of an award.

Sponsors have the opportunity to be judges.

Sponsors have their name and company logo associated with the Data Challenge in the sponsor section.

Sponsors can set their own award(s) and judge indepentantly among the submissions.

Sponsors can also add to the aggregate award and be a judge on the panel for the overall winner of the Data Innovation Challenge.

Partner

A partner is a company, agency, organization or person who helps promote the Data Innovation Challenge and offers material support.

Promoting the Data Innovation Challenge is helping to spread the word through established networks of contacts that are specfic to the Data Innovation Challenge.

Material support is providing facility space to host an event associated with the Data Innovation Challenge like a hackathon or a mapathon, or a place to gather for satellite locations to support the hackathons, mapathons and virtual meetings. Material support is also a company, agency, organization or person that provides food and beverages and other materials to attendees of events related to the Data Innovation Challenge. Material support is also providing technical capabilities and equipment to sposnor the project.

Developer

The focus of the Data Innovation Challenge is to create an application for entering a commercial or residential address and geographic location along with the metadata using a mobile device. A developer, therefore, is someone who can create that software application. If you have the skills to create the application and need other skillsets to work with in order to perfect your app development then you will want to connect with some Contributors to form that team.

Contributor

A contributor is someone who lacks the specific skills to create a mobile software application but has complimentary skills and abilities to support the development of the app. You will want to connect with Developers.

Observer

An Observer is just someone who wants to follow what is takingp place with the National Address Database effort but does not fit into any of the above descriptions.
