Colorado Governor Issues Emergency Declaration to Authorize Temporary Exception to Hours of Service Regulations for CMVs Used for Propane Transport

Summary

Pursuant to the authority vested in the Governor of the State of Colorado and, in particular, pursuant to relevant portions of the Colorado Disaster Emergency 
Act, C.R.S. § 24-33.5-700, et seq., and specifically C.R.S. § 24-33.5-704(7){a), I, John W. Hickenlooper, Governor of the State of Colorado, hereby issue this Executive Order declaring a state of disaster emergency due to extreme weather conditions and suspending the hours-of-service regulations in Colorado Revised Statutes§ 42-4-235, to the extent that the requirements therein prevent drivers of commercial motor vehicles who are working on this emergency from transporting propane winter heating fuel.
