Today, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood announced he is appointing Kimberly Moore as the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Accountability Officer to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA).  Moore will report directly to Secretary LaHood on all matters relating to the accountability, transparency and governance of MWAA staff and the MWAA Board of Directors.

“MWAA’s new leadership is committed to greater transparency,” said Secretary LaHood.  “The Accountability Officer will help further ensure that the organization’s policies and practices meet high standards of ethics and fiscal responsibility.”

Moore will serve as Accountability Officer until a permanent Inspector General for MWAA is established by Congress.
