Native American Heritage Month

Friday, November 12, 2021

In observance of Native American Heritage Month, USDOT’s Deputy Assistant Secretary Arlando Teller moderates a roundtable conversation between Secretary Buttigieg and two USDOT Native American employees who share their Tribal cultures and experiences. In addition to discussing USDOT’s goal to increase Native American participation and employment with the Department, the conversation also highlights the Secretary’s goal to increase engagement with Tribes on a Government-to-Government basis and to support Tribal Self-Governance. The roundtable begins with two traditional songs performed by Lance Fisher, a Department of Interior employee from the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana.
