May 2016 U.S. Airline Traffic Data
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reported today that U.S. airlines’ systemwide (domestic and international) scheduled service load factor – a measure of the use of airline capacity – remained unchanged at 83.4 percent in May, seasonally adjusted, from April. Seasonal adjustment allows the comparing of monthly load factors to all other months.
